Carpet dyeing vs. carpet replacement

Close view of carpet pile during color restoration

Replacing wall-to-wall carpet for one bleach spot means new pad, furniture moves, and a dye lot that may not match the hallway. Dyeing is worth a look when the rest of the carpet still has life in it.

Dyeing is the better spend when

The damage is a spot or a faded patch, the yarn is intact, and you like the carpet you already have. A starting price of $99 is for an eligible localized repair, not a promise to recolor an entire house. Larger areas cost more, and we say so before we start. Homes in Parrish, Venice, and Palmetto with newer builder carpet are often in this group.

Replacement is the better spend when

The color loss covers most of the room, the pile is matted flat, or a chemical already ate the fiber. We will say that instead of taking the job.

Start with a photo and a color restoration estimate. Soil and odor are a different ticket — that is carpet cleaning. Request a quote when you are ready.
